In General

 Emily/Em/Cleggy/Cleggelles

Education

Six years at Middlethorpe followed by four years at Matthew Humberstone and then two years at Franklin. Now at Surrey doing English with Creative Writing so wasting my time on here and posting random shit, TECHNICALLY, counts as doing work…

Job

Currently unemployed and bumming off my parents/savings but I’ve had a few in my time-

*Media Distribution Expert (paper girl)

*Counter assistant

*Student Mentor/Person who makes bad tea

TV

ANYTHING by/with Charlie Brooker, Family Guy, South Park, The Simpsons, Futurama, Flight of the Conchords, smart British comedies, retro cartoons. Film wise- Quentin Tarrentino films, Watchmen, Forrest Gump, anything that’s a bit different really…

Performing

Got my first big break as a narrator in the school play back in year five and since then I haven’t looked back! Numerous roles followed at secondary school where I played a singing prositute in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ (but I’d’ve prefered to have been the plant), an Italian pirate in Peter Pan, a sunbather, a Geisha mother and the back end of a camel. As well as this I also took part in a couple of singing comps and did a few variety shows.

When I was about 13 my friend introduced me to the wonderful world of the ‘Caxton Youth Theatre’ (CYT ‘TIL I DIE!) and I got to do even MORE things! Started out as a character called ‘Butch’ in the ‘Sci-Fi’ project, then played Alice in the Godmother and then Blousey in Bugsy Malone. After this I was a tree in Kes, Mel in ‘Shakers’, Hobby in ‘Teechers’ and then Buttons in ‘Cinderella’.

Writing-

*It Came from Educatous 39 (don’t even ask- awful sci-fi short that coincided with the sci-fi project I was in)

*2000 and Oz

*Cinderella

*Reflections- a series of monologues that I wrote for a local drama festival

Genre

A bit of everything really, wherever the mood takes me…
